Michael Jackson's Health Dilemmas
Michael Jackson - Rest In Peace - you will be remembered
On Thursday, June 25, Michael Jackson was rushed to the hospital after being found unconscious in his home. Later that afternoon, doctors confirmed that "The King of Pop" was dead. His death was by a cardiac arrest. But long before Michael Jackson's death he'd faced many health diseases now revealed to the public.
During the time of a few of his music videos, such as, Beat It, Thriller, and Billie Jean, he was seen wearing surgery masks, or seated in a wheel chair, and to add to the suspicions of his health, he was always skinny, and looked quite feeble.
Most of the questions lingered from the beginning of his career. People questioned his plastic surgery, and his skin that seemed to change color. He confronted the color-changing question by stating that he had a skin disorder, vitiligo, where pigment cells are destroyed, in which leaving white blotches behind.
During 1984, Michael Jackson, received second degree burn while filming a Pepsi commercial, and was hospitalized. During his stay he was said to have used a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, and apparently slept in the chamber in effort to slow aging process. Though he denied this rumor, photos were leaked in 1986, two years later.
And around the Christmas of 2008, it was said that Michael Jackson was suffering alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, a disease that affected the lungs, and liver. Later in, In Touch, Ian Halperin, claimed that Michael Jackson needed a lung transplant, and his intestines were bleeding. He also wrote that Michael Jackson could not see out of his left eye, and was so out of breath he could not speak most of the time. Denying this, Dr. Tohme Tohme, Michael Jackson's spokesperson, said that, the In Touch article, was "total fabrication", and that Michael Jackson was in "fine health".
While Michael Jackson was preparing for his comeback tour, his plans in London were canceled until later, rumors spread like wild fire that Michael Jackson was now suffering of yet another disease, skin cancer. The concert promoter, AEG Live, denied this stating that the change had "absolutely nothing to do with Jackson's health".
At the investigation of Michael Jackson's death, doctors, friends, and family reported that Michael Jackson had been using pain killers while preparing his comeback tour. People are worried that his sudden death was linked to the pain killers, while others say that the cardiac arrest was what had caused his death, but it is not clear.
Michael Jackson's family attorney revealed that he had been concerned of his client's use of the painkillers, for they could have been fatal, but Michael Jackson had ignored his attorney's concern.
On TMZ.com they exposed news that Michael was injected painkillers before he went into full cardiac arrest.
President Barack Obama, stated that he was a "spectacular performance", but his life was "sad and tragic".
Former Beatle member, Paul McCartney stated that, "It's so sad and shocking, I feel privileged to have hung out and worked with Michael. He was a massively talented boy man with a gentle soul. His music will be remembered forever."
Lawyer Brian Oxman stated that, "I do not want to point fingers at anyone because I want to hear what the toxicology report says and the coroner says but the plain fact of the matter is that Michael Jackson had prescription drugs at his disposal at all times."
Michael Jackson also apparently owed Mickey Fine Pharmacy in Beverly Hills, $101,926.66; his total debt over all is rumored to be near, or over $400 million.
No one is quite sure if his sudden death was linked to any of his past diseases, and conditions, or if the pain killers were a link or not, but he is in memory of most people in this world. He will be remember and missed, even after the ugly rumors of him molesting kids, and his eccentric behavior.
